Production Baker/Line Worker

We have multiple openings for production bakers/line workers. These are full-time positions.

You must be able to lift 65+ pounds from a bending position, take direction well, follow precise instructions in a timely manner, and work well both independently and with others. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, high quality standards, and a positive attitude. Attention to detail is essential. We prefer candidates with some commercial kitchen or food production/manufacturing experience.

Job responsibilities: Ingredient preparation, dough production, product packaging, and/or line work. The shift concludes with facility clean up. This is satisfying, physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment. Work hours: 40 hour work week, working an eight-hour shift, M-F, either 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, 8 AM to 4 PM, or 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Occasional overtime.

Compensation: Starting salary of $15/hour, depending on experience. We offer full medical/dental/vision benefits, paid holidays, paid time off, retirement benefits, and an employee assistance program.

Store Manager and Sales Support

Against The Grain is looking for an individual to join our Sales and Marketing Team. The primary responsibility is to manage the factory store, with additional responsibilities that include general sales and marketing support. Reporting directly to senior management.

Duties Include:

  • Cover the store during operating hours, which are M-F 10 AM to 4 PM
  • Greet customers, manage cash register, prepare deposits for bookkeeper
  • Manage inventory, bake store products, assist in product test marketing
  • Promote the store and ATG in demos and special events
  • Work with Management and sales team in promoting ATG products at consumer events, trade shows, and other high-visibility venues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent
  • Skilled at MS Excel and Word, with excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Some retail and/or baking experience
  • You will be required to undergo a criminal background check.

The ideal candidate must have good people skills. He or she must show demonstrated initiative, be self-motivated, work well with others, and follow detail-oriented directions. Occasional weekend travel required.
